    Directress / Montessori Specialist

    Allison is a qualified Montessori Teacher and Teacher Trainer in:

     

    NAMC Infant/Toddler & Early Childhood

    MCI Montessori Pedagogy (Birth-7)

    IMS Montessori Teacher Education

     

    With over 10 years of experience in education, she is an avid admirer of the Reggio Emilia Approach.

     

    She is passionate about integrating the best, most progressive techniques available in education into our curriculum.

    Clara Chan

    Cantonese Facilitator

    Clara is an experienced kindergarten teacher, passionate in child care and support children's rights.

     

    She is a highly qualified Registered Kindergarten Teacher, Certified in First Aid, with a Bachelors in Education & Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Graduated with Distinction).

     

    She is keen to adapt the Montessori and Reggio philosophies into her teaching journey as these were a part of her study focus during her PGDE.

    Ella Wightman

    English Facilitator

    Ella Wightman is a Native English Teacher with over 14 years of English language teaching experience in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Germany.

     

    She is a certified Kindermusik and Letterland Phonics teacher, and an Independent Certified Trainer (ICT) of the Baby Signs Program.

     

    A mother of two, Ella is a passionate teacher, who hopes to incorporate more reading, phonics and sensory-play into our curriculum here at Mulberry Tree.

    Evangeline Wu

    Putonghua Facilitator

    Evangeline holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Beijing Institute of Technology.

     

    She is certified in Putonghua by the Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) at Level 1, the highest level of proficiency.

     

    She also holds a certificate for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL).

    Marnick​

    Outdoor Nature Leader

    Originally from Belgium, Marnick moved to Hong Kong in 2013. In the last two years, he has been creating and leading experiential nature-based programs for young children.

     

    He is a certified Pediatric and Wilderness First Aid Provider who feels passionately about the great outdoors as he believes that Mother Nature has a lot to provide if we learn to take good care of her from a young age. Convinced that nature offers one of the world’s best classrooms, Marnick is excited to share knowledge and new experiences with the students of Mulberry Tree.

    Bonnie

    Yoga Facilitator

    A passionate yoga teacher who completed her teacher training course with Yogananth Andiappan. Being able to witness a person’s transformation on a physical, mental and spiritual level is one of her greatest motivations as a yoga teacher. Bonnie is known for her dynamic and detail-minded teaching style and hopes to be bring her love for yoga to Mulberry Tree.

    Milly Chan

    Administrative Officer

    Milly is a qualified Teacher with a Bachelor’s of Education from The Education University of Hong Kong, with over 10 years of experience in Special Education and Music Therapy.

     

    At home here in her native Hong Kong, she is a HK mom and a passionate supporter of the Mulberry Tree method. She is happy to answer any questions you might have!

    Harry

    Canine Facilitator

    Harry, named after "Harry Potter" is our resident canine. He is friendly and lovable, most often seen playing with the children during outdoor play time. He loves to eat, getting petted, and running around with his tongue out. He warmly invites you to come visit us and show him some love!

    Shelley

    Classroom Pet Facilitator

    Shelley, a red slider neck turtle is our newest class pet who joined us in 2018. She was given to us by a trusting family who has just relocated back to the UK. Our students take full responsibility over Shelley’s care which includes feeding her daily and giving her baths. Shelley enjoys taking walks in our outdoor area and she loves to sunbathe, too!
